The Wild Atlantic Way is home to uncounted magical locations, and indeed this one may just be among my all-time favourites. I was lucky enough to share an epic sunset and an especially spectacular view of the Blasket Islands with Stephanie and Steve on this Slea Head Adventure Session.
To start, what is an Adventure Session? The basic idea involves finding somewhere epic, taking a walk, enjoying the beauty of the Irish landscape, and then leaving with a collection of images that showcase the connection between a couple of lovebirds. When it came to finding that story with Stephanie and Steve… well the images speak for themselves. Then again, you’re not going to find a couple more infatuated than these two.

For as long as I’ve been in Co Kerry, I’ve loved spending time exploring the untamed coastline of the Dingle Peninsula. The entire region is stunning, but the Slea Head area, a rugged and scenic drive, is in my opinion one of the most beautiful and unrestrained locations in the world. There’s something particularly captivating about Slea Head. To be sure, the fresh Atlantic sea air and the harsh textural clifftops could have something to do with it. The extraordinary beauty of this landscape permeates the consciousness and stops you in your tracks, causing you to reflect upon the important things in life: the people you love for example.
We stopped off at various locations along the way including the significantly famous Dun Chaoin harbour, with views across to the historic Blasket Islands. Then a short hike to Ireland’s westernmost point for an epic sunset capped off a pretty great day.
Here’s what Stephanie and Steve had to say about the experience:
Pearse suggested an adventure session in the middle of a lockdown after we had postponed our wedding. An adventure we could look forward to.. something to take back some wedding excitement amidst all the uncertainty. And it did just that! We had an absolute ball doing the adventure session. Pearse chose the most amazing locations, the scenery was unbelievable. It’s a day we will remember for a long time. We would highly recommend an adventure session. Its wild, exciting, fun and very romantic. The pictures are absolutely amazing, so natural and really captures us. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. They are incredible. Pearse was so friendly and made us feel really comfortable. He has an unreal eye for detail.
