On a bright and beautiful March Friday (the only nice one that month), Mike and Maria tied the knot surrounded by their families in Glasnevin. Spring accompanied them on a stroll through the full bloom of this Botanic Gardens Wedding, and the evening light helped us capture those moments. Afterwards a fun and celebratory night took place in Dublin City Center at Ely Wine Bar.

A morning spent with Maria and the bridal party was a relaxed and fun experience. The amazing rustic wooden flooring and personalized style of the apartment was honestly a delight to photograph and really lent a great vintage feel to the images captured. It’s unusual to see a bride do her own Make-Up, yet a pretty wonderful job was done, as well as on her bridesmaids Paula and Sarah. Maria’s dress turned out to be quite a marvelous creation, simple and elegant with a beautiful dropped back. It’s vintage feel was set off by a stunning minimal headpiece and a multi generational coat that was almost worthy a photoshoot by itself 🙂

The ceremony took place just down the road at Our Lady of Dolours Church, so a quick jog for Maria and her Dad Jim with the Bridal Party hurrying behind was an opportunity for some great and unusual shots. The venue is airy, but on this day it was filled with joy.

Sunny and Magical are two words that best describe the location of the guys Couple portraits. Dublin’s Botanic Garden’s are a well trodden course for Mike and Maria, so it was lovely and fitting to have a stroll while photographing them in a natural way. The emotion shows through, with the Irish sun adding some brilliance.

Finishing the stroll, the reception was held Ely Wine Bar & Brasserie. Set up beautifully, it really matched the day perfectly. A glorious Botanic Gardens Wedding, it was full of raw emotion and dappled sunlight. An ice-cream in the evening topped it all off 🙂
